I would like to thank all the participants in the 2008 Minnesota School Bus Safety
Poster Contest. We increased our participation to 8 districts. Rockord #833,Spring Lake
Park #16 , Anoka Hennipen #11, White Bear Lake #624, Roseville #623, Osseo #279,
South Washington County #833, and Elk River #728.
The Minnesota Association for Pupil Transportation Safety Committee commends all the
student state-wide that participated in the Minnesota school bus safety poster contest.
This year the theme was “Avoid Harm, Obey the Stop Arm” The following students were
awarded first place at the state level for their fine art work. Winners will all receive a
gift card from Barnes and Noble.
Three students will have their artwork forwarded to the National School Bus Safety
Poster contest. They were selected as the outstanding work in the following Divisions:
Grades K-2; Grades 3-5; and Grades 6-8. We wish them good luck in the competition.
On behalf of the Minnesota Association Pupil Transportation Safety Committee we thank
you for participating in the 2008 Bus Safety Poster Contest. We hope that you will
participate again next year.
