School Bus Driver Appreciation Day
Wednesday, February 18, 2026
MAPT (Minnesota Association for Pupil Transportation) and MSBOA (Minnesota School Bus Operators Association) are proud to once again join together to promote School Bus Driver Appreciation Day.
This annual day of recognition honors the dedicated professionals who safely transport Minnesota’s students every day. School bus drivers play a vital role in student safety, education, and community connection, and this day is an opportunity to say thank you for their commitment and care.
Working Together to Share the Story
For 2026, MAPT and MSBOA are partnering with Rosedahl Public Affairs to lead public relations efforts surrounding School Bus Driver Appreciation Day. As February 18 approaches, you can expect to see many familiar elements from past years—along with fresh, new ideas designed to expand awareness and celebrate the essential work of student transportation professionals across the state.
Start Planning Your Celebration
Now is the time to begin planning how your organization, school district, or community will recognize school bus drivers and transportation staff. Whether it’s a small gesture or a larger event, every act of appreciation helps highlight the importance of the work done day in and day out to keep students safe.
More details, resources, and promotional materials will be shared as they become available.
Please help us spread the word and join us in celebrating School Bus Driver Appreciation Day on February 18, 2026.
